서울대학교치의학대학원(원장 이재일)이 지난달 30일과 31일 양일간 대학원 본관 대학원강의실에서 국제학술대회를 진행했다. 국제학술대회는 2가지로 진행됐다. 먼저 30일 개최된 ‘The 4th Japan-Thailand-Korea Joint Symposium’은 서울대치의학대학원과 BK21 PLUS 치의학생명과학사업단(단장 류현모) 공동 주최로 ‘Dental Sciencein 2014’이란 슬로건 아래 한국‧일본‧태국 치과대학 교수들이 최신 지견을 공유하는 시간으로 진행됐다.
이재일 원장은 개회사를 통해 “이번 심포지엄이 국제 치의학 임상의 및 연구원의 현황과 미래 전망에 대해 토론하는 기회의 장이 되기를 진심으로 바란다”고 전했다.
학술대회 첫 번째 세션은 ▲임원희(서울대치전원) 교수가 ‘Wnt signaling regulates the homeostasis of periodontal complex’를 주제로 ▲Nakarin Kitkumthorn(Mahidol University, Thailand) 교수가 ‘Clinical applications of DNA methylation’에 발표했으며, ▲이헌진(경북대 치대) 교수는 ‘Small RNAs with a big function: microRNAs in microorganisms’에 대해 그리고 ▲Masanori Hashimoto(Osaka University, Japan) 교수가 ‘Biocompatibility of various nanoparticles to cells’ ▲김현실(연세치대)교수는 ‘microRNA-mediated regulation of EMT-related RNA Network’을 주제로 강연에 지견을 전했으며, 마지막으로 ▲Patcharee Ritprajak(Chulalongkorn University, Thailand) 교수는 ‘Differential dendritic cell responses to carbohydrate constituents in fungal cell wall’를 주제로 강의했다.
두 번째 세션은 같은 대학 ▲Tohru Suganami 교수가 ‘Relationship between initial stability of implant and bone density around implant’를 주제로 포문을 열었다. 이어 ▲송제선(연세치대) 교수가 ‘Newly defined dental anomaly: molar-incisor malformation’에 대해 발표했다. 이어 ▲Chalida Nakalekha Limjeerajarus(Chulalongkorn Univ.)교수는 ‘The development of prostacyclin drug delivery system for bone and tooth Regeneration’를 ▲김홍희(서울대치전원) 교수는 ‘PMCA, a new regulator of osteo clastogenes is and bone metabolism’에 대해 ▲Sroisiri Thaweboon(Mahidol Univ.) 교수는 Teeth blackening: The contribution to oral health ▲최연희(경북대 치대) 교수는 ‘Serum C-reactive protein and immunoglobulin G antibodies to periodontal pathogens may be effect modifiers of periodontitis and hyperglycemia’를 발표를 이어갔다.
둘째날 진행된 ‘2014 International Symposium’은 서울대학교 치학연구소(소장 김각균)와 BK21 PLUS 치의학생명과학사업단 주최로 ‘The present and Future of Dental Implant’를 주제로 열렸다. 김각균 소장은 “오늘날 치과 임플란트의 임상 현황 및 미래 치의학계의 발전 전망에 대해 논하는 자리가 되길 바란다”는 인사말을 전했다.
이날 심포지엄은 ‘The Clinical Aspects of Current Dental Implantology’를 주제로 진행됐다. 심포지엄의 첫 강연은 ▲김영균(서울대치전원) 교수가 맡았다. 김 교수는 ‘A variety of clinical study of Korean Implant systems’를 ▲Denis Kinane(University of Pennsylvania, USA) 교수는 ‘The role of the biofilm and the host response in peri-implantitis’를 주제로 임상에 대한 견해를 전했고. ▲이종호(서울대치전원) 교수는‘Clinical Experiences of Conservative and Surgical Management of an Injured Inferior Alveolar Nerve during Dental Implant Placement’에 대해 지견을 전했다.
두 번째 세션인 ‘The Science and Future of Dental Implantology’은 앞으로의 치료전략을 공유하는 시간으로 채워졌다. 제일 먼저 ▲Bernd Stadlinger(University of Zurich, Switzerland) 교수는 ‘The Biology of Osseointegration and means to influence peri-implant bone formation’에 대한 견해를 전했으며. ▲한중석(서울대치전원) 교수는 ‘Effects of surface modulation and bio mechanical adaptation for implant interfacial bone’를 주제로 제언했다. 마지막으로는 ▲Takuo Kuboki(Okayama University, Japan) 교수가 나서 ‘Biological regenerative medicine in prosthodontic practice - to attain reliable and sophisticated dental implant therapy’ 발표가 진행됐다. 그리고 마지막 세션에는 ▲허성주(서울대치전원) 교수가 ’Education of Implant Dentistry at Seoul National University’를 주제로 서울대학교 치의학대학원 교육과정을 소개했다. 이어 발표된 내용을 바탕으로 패널토의가 진행됐고, 이 시간은 각 대학 학부 교육과정의 중점사항을 공유하고 발전방안에 대해 논의했다.
한편 지난달 30일 저녁에는 소공동 롯데호텔에서 각 대학 학장단 및 외국 연자 초청간담회를 열고, 대학 간 학술교류와 연구 협력을 더욱 강화하고 국내외 치의학 발전을 위해 소통하는 시간도 마련했다.
